The title clearly depicts ‘ I am a religious book’ here I am claiming, ‘ This is not just a religious book’. The writer has not only shared his hajj experience but several other incidents some of them even brought me in tears. What captivated me to complete the book was the sense of humor ( which I feel makes reading travelogues rather easy?), the adorable exchange of dialogues between Tarrar Sahb and his sons and imagery of spiritually. —- This hajj travelogue by Mustansar Sahb gives you a deep insight of a common muslim who is paying visit to the holiest place of this earth for the first time. The writer has poured his heart by giving the finest details of each and every moment of the entire journey. He has shared his personal connection with Allah which I feel is really daring coz people around always remain good in judging others specially how good/ bad muslims they are.? __ During reading this book, I felt like that my own family members are back to home and they are describing how their journey went which made my reading more easy. I can warmly say this is an awesome book and of course my new favorite one.??? I recommend this book to everyone without age discrimination.

This book.. as you can see is about the incidents during Hajj. And I really have no words as how exactly to describe my feelings. Mustansar sahb has done the justice while writing this book. It would tell you history, it would give you facts. But it would also make you dive into the emotions that being a muslim always show up whenever we think or talk about Makkah and Madinah. He thoroughly describe his feelings and thoughts during tawaaf, and while his stay at Arafaat and Minaa and so in Muzdalfa. This book moves along the journey and how it is filled with the spiritual journey as well. How muslims from far away lands get together to perform hajj and what effect it creates. And then he went to Madinah, to masjid e nabvi s.a.w.w where the emotions and feelings are other than this world. This book generally talks about Hajj, but it also talk about cultural differences, about the true spirit and essence of Islam. The writing was simple, yet with so much depth in it that you wonder either you are diving into it too much or too less. Taarar sahb has the style of giving the background of the place he is visitng, if you have read his other books, this book is no exception. You would come to know about historical importance of many different places that are now maybe unrecognizable. While reading, you visit the places along with him. This book has a sequel named “Ghar e Hira Main Ik Raat” that continues the journey to the cave of Hira. Both the books are one of their kind and highly recommended to everyone who wants to read more about this beautiful spiritual journey.
